| Tie One on with a Ranger 2:00 PM Meet at the Visitor Center, come rain or shine. Ropes and knots have been a part of human endeavors and work for thousands of years, but are now a vanishing art. Knot tying can be a fun, hands-on game, and a good way to exercise your mind. Come learn how to get all tied up in knots including their history, uses, and of course how to tie them. | ||

| Volunteer Trail Work Day 8:30 - Noon Meet at the Visitor Center The trails at the park see lots of shoes and hiking boots along with rain and its associated erosion they are always in need of maintenance. Some of the trails were built more than twenty years ago when the park had fewer visitors. The bottom line is if you would like to give back a little to the park join us for this program to work on trail maintenance. Wear work and weather appropriate footwear and clothes, bring work gloves if you have them, we provide tools, water and snacks. Program canceled if it is raining. | ||

| Nature’s Christmas Ornaments 11:00 AM Join a ranger to learn how to decorate for Christmas using nature's ornaments. You will learn how to make simple ornaments using natural materials, many of which will also be suitable for attracting backyard wildlife. Each person will have the opportunity to make an ornament. All materials will be provided. Meet at the visitor center classroom. **A parent or guardian must accompany children.** | ||

| Owl Prowl 5:00pm to 6:30pm Who's Awake? Me too! Calls the mighty Great-horned owl! You can answer that question by joining us for a night hike looking for the owls of Crowders Mountain. Meet at the Visitor Center for a short indoor program to introduce our owls. Dress appropriately for the weather, and light hiking footwear. Program will be canceled if it is raining. | ||
